Affiliate marketing is nothing new its been around for ages almost since the Internet itself. What most people don’t know is that it’s the easiest way to making money online.
Allow me to explain:
- You don’t need a website
- You don’t need your own products
- You don’t even need money to start
I mean seriously the last one alone is enough to make you interested. Now the problem becomes the how…ah the how the eternal question of us all “How do I make money online?” We’ll explain this in the coming post but for now here’s something to get you started.
Below are a few questions you should ask yourself before choosing a product to recommend and to sale online. Remember the goal here is to make money online so picking a good product to sale is critical.
- If someone buys it and you meet them in the street the next day will you feel good or bad for recommending it to them? (I think you know what answer your looking for here)
- Is it popular? Meanings are people searching for it online or have you heard about it? (you don’t want to sale underwater window wipers for example : )
- What’s the profit margin on the product? Do you make $10, $20, $50 per sale?
- Are you going to try the product you’re recommending?
- How many products do you plan to sale?
I personally recommend starting with only 2 or 3 at most as you want to learn your market before you have 15 affiliate products and you don’t know what does what or where your money is coming from. Plus this will give you some time to spend on learning the product you’re selling and to market it. Less is better when starting out!
The great part about Affiliate marketing is you can do it free as mentioned above and in the upcoming post I’m going to explain just how to do that. In the meantime it’s time to start making some money online and its time for you start.
Follow the directions below:
- Sign up for ClickBank – (Start looking around and getting familiar with the site – While there are a million other places you can start and pick out affiliate marketing products to sale Clickbank to this day remains the largest. )
- Find two or three products that you like and that you want to promote. (Remember the questions above and don’t worry its not that hard its actually fun. )
- Make sure to review the products “Pitch Page” – that’s the website page that comes up when someone clicks on your affiliate link. You always want to make sure you know exactly what you’re promoting because before long you may want a full blown website and you want your Internet presence to be trustworthy.
- Take the Clickbank training – It’s a very short and pretty straight forward and will help you take advantage of all they offer for Free.
